Dr. Peter Bujari - Executive Director

Graduated medical doctor at the University of Dar es Salaam. He specialized in public health aspects of development particularly in RH and HIV issues. He is to graduate end of the year in Business Administration at Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden). He has experience in Organizational capacity assessment and capacity building, Monitoring and evaluation, budget analysis and tracking as well as policy analysis and advocacy. He worked as Regional Project coordinator for UNESCO and IFMSA HIV&AIDS, as HIV/AIDS Advisor for Action Aid and HIV program manager for Oxfam Ireland in Tanzania. Since 2006 he is Executive Director of HDT and coordinator of the Tanzania AIDS Forum.

Mr. John Simon Malanilo - Director of Programs

Teacher by profession with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He has excellent facilitation and project management skills. He has over ten years of work experience in the CSO sector on the management level and has experience in working with children living in difficult circumstances where his job included counselling, self esteem support and family reunification. He has attended various Courses on Project Planning, Management, and advocacy and as trainer of trainers for HIV and AIDS education and life skills.

Mr. Geofrey Isack - Director of Finance and Administration
Professional Accountant at CPA Intermediate stage. He has a great deal of experience working with Private Sector, Government Parastatals and Non Governmental organizations since 1992 in the field of accountancy. He is currently responsible for establishment and maintenance of the Organization Accounting Procedures, Financial Regulations and System of Internal Control and Administrative issues.

Ms. Jaliath Rangi – Program Officer Capacity Building
Graduated in 2007, at the University of Dar es salaam, specializing in LANGUAGE STUDIES and LINGUISTICS. She has experience on rural HIV/AIDS Initiatives, project planning, organizing and facilitation and she is an expert on capacity building. She previously worked as a volunteer in the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiatives, as a Community HIV/AIDS Fellow in Mtwara Rural. She worked with Home Based Care, giving technical and day to day support for People living with HIV/AIDS.

Ms. Agnes Kisala – Finance and Admin Officer
Graduated from the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy in Dar es Salaam with an Ordinary Diploma in gender issues in development. Her skills are mainly on finance, administration issues, computer and gender issues in development.

Mr. Ally Nnunduma Abdallah - Monitoring & Evaluation Manager

Graduated in BSc Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (2005) at Sokoine University of Agriculture and is going to graduate this year (2010) in MSc Agricultural Economics at the same university. He also has background in statistics and sociology. He has 11 years of working experience, with Local Government Authorities as well as NGOs. He has experience in economic related issues as well as facilitation skills, conducting research, data analysis, program planning and monitoring and evaluation of projects/programs.

She has a certificate in Business Administration. She has experience working with computers.She has been working with HDT since 2008 to date.

Kagera Regional Office

Mr. David Bukozo – Regional Program Officer Kagera
Agriculturist by profession with a diploma in crop production. He has experience working with the community, for five years in government and more than seven years with NGOs in the field of agriculture and in other community development issues. He has attended various courses and seminars in participatory planning, business management for intermediary NGO Managers, HIV/AIDS intervention, counseling, good governance skills and capacity building for CSOs. He is pursuing a BBA at the Open University of Tanzania. He has been working with HDT since 2007 to date; 2007 to 2008 as Regional Program Assistant and currently he is a Regional Program Officer Kagera.

He has experience driving for various private companies since 2004. He also worked as a maintenance man in previous companies. He recently joined HDT as driver for Kagera regional office.

Mbeya Regional Office



Mr. Dickson Mbita - Regional Program Manager -Mbeya
Graduated with BSc in Agronomy, he is now finalizing a MSc in Agricultural Economics. He recently joined HDT to manage and coordinate the Mbeya regional office. He has experience in coordinating of programs, project planning & management and monitoring and evaluation. He also has training and facilitation skills. He has worked with community projects supporting MVC and PLHIV.

Mr. Moses Kabogo– Regional Programme Officer Mbeya

Sociologist by professional, graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has experience in HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, working with People Living with HIV/AIDS and difficult circumstances, Capacity building to CSOs, Project facilitation and supporting and working with communities on cross cutting issues. He also worked with the National Social Security Fund in implementing the MIMS Project.
Mr. Henry Siwale – Driver
Experienced driver and has worked with several private organizations before joining HDT. Since April 2007 he is employed by HDT as a driver.


Volunteers/Part-time support
Ms. Noumi Oosterwijk – Fundraising & Communications Advisor
She is a VSO volunteer supporting HDT with the fundraising strategy development, funding proposals and developing communication systems. She has a social science background and has worked with local and international NGOs in the areas of primary health care and HIV&AIDS. She has experience supporting community project management, both the leadership as well as people in the field, including capacity building, monitoring and evaluation.


Mr. Felix Sukums – Information Technology Officer
Graduated M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Dar es Salam in 2009. He is an energetic and self-motivated ICT consultant working with HDT as consultant on part time basis. He has a wide experience and competencies in ICT training, consultancies and research.
